March 23, 1999 - August 16, 2005

It was with deep sadness that we had to help our beautiful girl
to a peaceful and painless sleep on August 16, 2005.
Madison was six and one-half years young.  She
fought a valiant battle, but in the end, the
cancer was too much, too advanced...

We will miss our sweet princess more than words can express.

Madison, there will never be another you.
Until we meet again, rest peacefully my love.

Madison loved:

Pugs......I think she thought she was one
Sleeping in the "crook" of my back
Long walks with boundless energy
Tennis balls, tennis balls, tennis balls
Going to dog shows (except the showing part)
Curling up on my feet on the couch
Toys with squeakers so she could de-squeak them
Playing hide-and-seek....and she always found you
Food from the dinner table
Rides in the truck -- leaning against her dad as he drove
Being the only dog allowed in the front yard
Killing the Wiggly-Giggly ball
Taking toys from the pug and hiding them outside
Laying tummy-down in the baby pool on a hot day
When you blew raspberries on her cheek
Watching Animal Planet
Being chased around the yard by her best pug friend, Tory
Being told she was pretty
Bursting -- not walking -- through the doggy door
Looking out the frontroom window
Her only child -- a squeaky toy from a false pregnancy
Boxing the water dish in the upstairs bathroom
Protecting Georgia when she washed her car
Being with her family that loved and adored her

"Last night I had a crazy dream
A wish was granted just for me,
It could be for anything
I didn't ask for money
Or a mansion in Malibu
I simply wished for one more day with you

One more day -- one more time
One more sunset, maybe I'd be satisfied
But then again, I know what it would do
Leave me wishing still
for one more day with you"

Madison and her best pug friend, Tory

Finally in 2002, we bought Madison her own pug, Cagney

and they loved each other...

very much.
